DOJ Lawsuit Alleges Disability-Based Discrimination By Apartment Owners & Developers, Including Locally

The Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio have announced the filing of a lawsuit against Ohio-based Miller-Valentine Operations Inc. and affiliated companies, owners, developers and builders of 82 multifamily housing complexes located in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia.

Delaware Planning Commission To Review Final Plan For Apartments

A new apartment complex may well be on its way to Delaware if the City of Delaware Planning Commission accepts a staff recommendation to approve the Final Development Plan for the Seattle House Apartments.

Located on the north side of US 36/37 and the south side of Bowtown Road just east of Chesrown auto storage lot, the current application is for ten apartment buildings to be constructed on one portion of the 24.2 acre development site. More…

Powell Commission To Consider New Subdivision

The City’s Planning and Zoning Commission is set to consider an application next Wednesday from The Camber Company, which seeks to build a new residential subdivision just north of downtown. The issue before the Commission includes whether to rezone 8.4 acres of land from a Residence District zoning classification to Downtown Residence District, thereby allowing the subdivision to be constructed.
