Step back in time a bit this weekend as the Powell Liberty Historical Society presents a unique program showcasing how soldiers and settlers alike lived off of the Ohio countryside in the first years of settlement.

The “Frontier Encampment” will take place on Saturday, October 2 from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Martin-Perry House in downtown Powell (103 East Olentangy Street). There, historian and reenactor R.J. Basista will set up a traditional frontier encampment for viewing.

All day Saturday presenters will explore our past from the Revolutionary War into the Ohio frontier and beyond. Included will be something for all ages – information, demonstrations, and hand on activities.

New this year will be walnut dying.

Stop by anytime on Saturday 10:00- 5:00 to join in the fun.

Parking for the event will be available in a small lot west of the house and across the street in the large lot at the NE corner of Olentangy St. and Grace Dr. Do NOT park in the lot behind the businesses immediately west of the Martin Perry House (toward downtown).
