For the second year in a row, the Riverside Crossing Park Ice Rink is in the running for one of the country’s top winter honors: USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for Best Ice Skating Rink. The rink cracked the top 10 last year, landing at number 10, and now it’s hoping for an even stronger finish in 2025.
A Chance to Vote Daily
The public can vote once per day through Monday, Dec. 1 at 11:59 AM EST. Winners will be announced Wednesday, Dec. 10 at noon EST. The voting link is available at 10best.usatoday.com/awards/best-ice-skating-rink/.
A Seasonal Favorite in Downtown Dublin
Set in the lower plaza of Riverside Crossing Park, just east of The Dublin Link pedestrian bridge, the 3,200-square-foot rink has become one of the city’s most reliable winter draws. It’s simple, festive, and built for families looking to be outside even when the temperatures drop.
Matt Earman, Dublin’s Director of Parks and Recreation, said the return nomination reflects how locals have embraced the rink. He called it one of Dublin’s favorite winter traditions and noted how it brings people together during a time of year that can feel hectic or isolating.
When the Ice Opens
The 2025–2026 season runs from Nov. 20 through March 15. Admission is $15 and includes skate rental. Skaters who prefer their own blades can bring them along, though the price remains the same.
Hours are straightforward:
- Fridays: 5:00 PM–10:00 PM
- Saturdays: 12:00 PM–10:00 PM
- Sundays: 12:00 PM–8:00 PM
